So – today is my birthday, my last 30 something birthday & it got me thinking, below are some thoughts I wrote about 6 months ago, but I never got round to sharing it with you… have a read and then I’ll share with you, what I have decided to do….

From March 2019
Countdown to 40…. If I want those sexy legs I better get started….

So it occurred to me the other day that it’s now less than 18months until I turn 40… I lost my breath for a second – how can that be???? 30 seamed like yesterday…
.
So I have this dreamlike idea of having nice, slim toned legs…. if you know me and you have nice legs, you may have seen me checking them out… nothing creepy, I just have leg envy…
.
So I’m thinking if I want toned legs by 40 I probably should have started already – but I don’t want to peak too early – see I get bored with excercise easily so I really want to time it perfectly 🤣🤣🤣

OR – I just work hard on loving and accepting my tree trunk sturdy legs, that keep my upright and get me from A to B, love them for all their lumps and bumps and enjoy sitting on the couch watching Netflix…. it really is a tough decision 🤔

What would you do?

I guess I could do both, get fit and learn to love 💕 myself more, how ambitious of me 😉

As a side note I have started running, it’s been about 4 weeks and I use the term “running” very loosely! We shall see how long it lasts, I’m carrying quite a few extra pounds at the moment so it’s a bit harsh on the knees, but in a weird way I’m enjoying the mental game of it all while trying not to fall on my face…

Who knows what 40 will bring – but I think I should be happy with how I slide into it either way…

Well, now the countdown is on! See I was running, but I haven’t run now for months (see, very small attention span)… so what is my decision? Do I aim to become a gym junky and create amazing ‘leg envy’ type legs or do I work on all the self love stuff????
.
Typical me – I want both! (Not the gym junkie bit) So I’ve decided to embark on a journey of transformation and self love – my hashtag #countdownto40 is going to be running through my head & what does that mean? I want it to mean;
“Alicen, make a good choice, a choice that you wont regret, a choice that empowers and nourishes you to be your best self.”

#countdownto40 is going to include a lot of the following & weather you are pre or post 40, I would love for you to join me in this adventure, your feedback and support will be both welcomed & needed I’m sure.

It’s really not about the legs, 😉  but I do want to feel comfortable in my skin at 40 & thats important!
